Answers
CLASSICAL DANCES
-------------------------------------------------------
Should be recognised by the Sangeet natak academy as a classical dance
should have strict rules and regulations vis-a-vis the movement and gestures (mudras)
Are based on three basic characteristic features; nritta (pada sanchalan), nritya (anga sanchalan) and natya (abhinay).
Broadly all these dances are derived from Natyashashtra written by Bharata muni.
They have a unique costume, jewellery and stance.
They have a long cultural lineage age old tradition, with and follow guru- shishya parampara.
Requires intense practice and dedicated study to master these forms.
Mostly depict mythological or devotional plots.
They evoke emotions in audience i.e., Nava rasaas
