1) In budding, new organism is generated as bud which remains attached to parent organism whereas in fission new organism is made by splitting of parent cell into two.
2) Budding can be done artificially whereas fission cant be done artificially.
3) In budding there is uneven distribution of cytoplasm whereas in fission the cytoplasm is divided evenly.
4) Budding is seen in Eukaryotes such as fungi, sponges like hydra whereas fission is common among prokaryotes.
5) Budding is a type of  vegetative propagation whereas fission is splitting up of a parent individual.
6) In budding there is no change in parent organism as bud is formed as an outgrowth on parent organism but in fission there is change in parent cell as it splits to form new cells.

Hey !

Budding:

✪ The parent individual persists after the daughter individual had budded off.
✪ Budding is rather slow.
✪ Bud start as a trace and slowly grows to an appropriate size before it pinches off but it is still smaller than the parent.
✪ Budding is gradual.

Fission:
✪ The parent individual loses ts identity after splitting into two or more daughter individuals.
✪ Fission is more rapid.
✪ The daughter individuals (weather two or more) are identical in structure but all are smaller in size than the parent. Later they grow to attain their normal dimensions.
✪ Fission is instantaneous.
