The main difference between glycolysis and Krebs cycle is:Glycolysis is the first step involved in the process of respiration and occurs in the cytoplasm of the cell. ... So Glycolysis is defined as the chain of the reactions, for the conversion of glucose (or glycogen) into pyruvate lactate and thus producing ATP.

Gycolysis

1. Occurs in cytoplasm

2. a molecule of glucose is oxidised step by step in the process and two molecule of each that is pyruvic acid ATP and NADH2 and water are formed.

3. It is also known as emp pathway.

TCA cycle

1. Occurs in mitochondria

2. Acetyl part of acetyl coenzyme A is completely oxidized through this cyclical process and molecule of CO2 ,H2O and NADH2 ,FADH2 are derived

3. It is also known as krebs cycle
