Glycolysis occurs in cytoplasm and TCA occurs in mitochondria.

Pyruvate is formed by glycolysis and citric acid is formed in TCA.

Glycolysis takes plece in aerobic and anerobic respiration and TCA takes place only in only aerobic respiration.

CO2 is not produced in glycolysis and CO2 is produced in kreb's cycle.

Glycolysis :

1. glycolysis is the process occuring in a cell in which a molecule of glucose is oxidized step by step and 2 molecules each of pyruvic acid , co2, H2O, ATP, NADH2, FADH2 is released.

2. It occurs in cytoplasm.

3. It is also called as the EMP pathway.

Krebs cycle:

1. Krebs cycle occurs in mitochondria.

2. by products are co2, h2o.

3. It is also called as TCA cycle
