those organs which have common ancestors..they are are stucturally same but perform diff functions due to adaptations to diff need ...for ex thorn and tendrils of bouganvillea and cucurbita
analogous organs-
these organs are structurally diff but perform similar functions due to adaptations to diff need....for ex wings of bird and butterfly
