Explanation:

An inselburg (island castle) is a castle surrounded by water.

Inselberg (island mountain), also called monadnock. It is is a large isolated hill rising abruptly from a flat or gently sloping plain. It can occur in any type of climate — dry or wet, windy or still — unlike yardangs, which are sculpted by desert winds.

A yardang, like a hoodoo, pinnacle, or spire, is a rocky outcropping in a desert. Unlike inselbergs, yardangs can and frequently do occur in groups, can be rather small, and tend to have bizarre wind-sculpted shapes like towers or steeples or fins.

Answer:

Inselbergs (island mountain) are analogous to monadnocks occurring in a peneplain. However, monadnocks are the associated feature of peneplain. Peneplains are the nearly smooth erosion surface of low relief and altitude covering a large area. They are found in humid climatic regions.
