An inselberg is an isolated rock hill or a small mountain that rises from its surrounding plains or sloping background in a sudden manner.
It is also known as Monadnock, it has gentle slopes or can rise abruptly from its surroundings.
A yardang on the other hand is a protuberance that is carved from the bedrock or any other rock made out of consolidated or semi-consolidated material.
Due to deflation of wind and action of dust and sands, such structures are created automatically by nature.
