the semiconductors formed by the mixing of two or more elements are called extrinsic semiconductors
while those which are in the purest form are called the intrinsic semiconductors.
In the extrinsic semiconductors the the impurities added will lead to the the conductivity of the the semiconductors.
however , due to the pure form in the intrinsic semiconductor the chances of high conductivity decreases
