Answer:

Intrusive Igneous Rocks

  1. Intrusive igneous rocks are formed when the magma cools and solidifies below the surface of the Earth.
  2. Since these rocks cool down slowly, they have a coarse texture with                   large crystals .
  3. Example: Dolomite

Extrusive Igneous Rocks

  1. Extrusive igneous rocks are formed by cooling the molten magma on the surface of the Earth. The molten magma comes onto the Earth’s surface through cracks, fissures, and volcanic eruptions.
  2. Since these rocks solidify at a faster pace, they are smooth, crystalline, and fine-grained.
  3. Example: Basalt
