● Answer -
Iron(II) sulphate on treatment with ammonium hydroxide soln gives Fe(OH)2 which precipitate as green colored ppt.

FeSO4 + 2NH4OH --> Fe(OH)2 (green) + (NH4)2SO4

Iron(III) sulphate on treatment with ammonium hydroxide soln gives Fe(OH)3 which precipitate as orange colored ppt.

Fe2(SO4)3 + 6NH4OH --> 2Fe(OH)3 (orange) + 3(NH4)2SO4
