kilowatt hour-a measure of electrical energy equivalent to a power consumption of one thousand watts for one hour.

kilowatt is power unit and Kilowatt hour is an unit to measure enery consumption . 1 kilowatt hour is equivalent to 1000 watt power consumed for 1 hour.

for example if you switch on your 100 w fan for 1 hour, you have consumed

= 100 watt × 1 hour = 100 watt hour.

if you convert it into kW , devide it by 1000

so u have consumed 100/1000 kWH

i.e. 0.1 kWH power.
