Answer:

Land resource referred to the shape, form and nature of the land surface. Almost all the activities are associated with land resources. They provide shelter to both the living organisms and non living substances. The land resources of the earth contain lofty mountains, flat plains, high plateaus, islands, etc. As natural resources, provide all the essential products for satisfying human needs. All parts of the land resources are not equally habitable. Some parts of it are either sparsely populated or uninhabited. The uneven distribution of population is controlled by a variety of factors. These are the quality of land, availability of water, fertility of soil, climate, etc.

Like land and air, water is also an important component of natural environment. Water is not only essential for drinking purposes, but it also provides shelter to many of the organisms. It is a tasteless and colourless substance that covers about three fourth of the Earth's surface. The earth is, therefore, called the water planet or blue planet.

Answer:

Rocks, soil, and minerals make up land (minerals and rocks plus organic material). Since water is a fluid, it can quickly alter its shape to fit in any container.

Explanation:

  • Despite the fact that we tend to conceive of land as being "dry," all bodies of water are really covered in a continuous layer of solid material.
  • The word "land resources" refers to the physical, biotic, environmental, infrastructural, socioeconomic, and near-surface freshwater resources that are crucial for management of a natural land unit.
  • All of the Earth's natural waters, whether they are in a liquid, solid, or vapour condition and have the potential to be useful to humanity, are considered to be water resources.

Although there are many other types of water resources, saltwater, groundwater, and surface water are the three basic types.
