SMALL SCALE MAP:-
A small scale map such as 1:1,000,000 shows a large area, but shows very less details.
LARGE SCALE MAP:-
A large scale map such as 1:24,000 shows a small area, but shows large/great details.

**large scale maps shows a less area with a large amount of detail . the geographical extent shown on it is very small .
**small scale maps refers to the world maps of large areas such as continents or large nations in other words they show small region on large area. they are called small because the representive scale is small.
