Lava :Lava is defined as the hot molten igneous or metamorphic rocks which comes out from the surface of earth. When the lava comes out from the same surface it forms a a large mountain like structure , called as a Volcano.

Magma : On the other hand magma is also molten metamorphic or sedimentary rocks but the main difference is that it moves inside the surface of earth and sometimes displace the tectonic plates which causes a sudden movement of Earths crust commonly known as a Earthquake.
