◆ Lithosphere is the outermost solid layer of the Earth made up of rocks and soil whereas Biosphere is the zone where land, water and air come into contact with each other.

◆ In Lithosphere, rocks and soil (non living things) exist only whereas in Biosphere, living beings exist.

◆ Biosphere is divided into plant kingdom and animal kingdom whereas lithosphere have the rock and soil layers.

◆ The biosphere is made up of distinct zones each with its own climate whereas lithosphere have no distinct zones.
