In Longitudinal waves movement of particle is parallel in the direction of propagation.
In transverse wave particle move perpendicular to the direction of propagatprion.
Properties of Electromagnetic waves:-
1) They are not deflected by any of magnetic and electric field.
2)They are transverse waves.i.e. moves perpendicular in the direction of propagation.
3)They can be polarized.
4)They can show interferance or diffraction.
5) main point: they do not need any medium of propagation.
