hi friend...
# metals:
1. they are good conductors of heat and electricity
2. they are malleable
3. they are ductile
4. they have high melting point..
5. they show lustureous..
6. high density..
#non - metals:
1. they are bad conductors of heat and electricity
2.they are non - malleable..
3. they are non - ductile
4. they are brittle..
5. they don't show lustureous.
6. low melting point..
7.low density...
hope this helps u...

Any substance which have lusture, melliiability, sonority, ductility and weight, hardness are called metals. Metals have weight, they shine, can be converted into wires and they are very hard.
Any substance which don't have lusture, melliability, sonority, ductility, weight and hardness are called non metals. Non metals don't have shine, can't be converted into wires, they are not sonorous, they are not heavy and they are soft as compared to metals are called non metals.
hope it will help you
