The Nagara style of temple architecture was dominant in North India. This style is marked by a curvilinear temple tower which ends up almost in a point.
For example = Mukteswara Temple, Sun Temple etc.
Dravidian style
The Dravidian style of temple architecture was dominant in South India. This style is marked by a pyramidal temple tower.
For example = Brihadesvara Temple, Kailasanath Temple etc.
