⇒ They are formed by Central or State Legislation.

⇒ It is meant for protection of both flora and fauna.

⇒ boundary is well demarcated.

⇒ Ex. corbett national park.

Wildlife sanctuary :-

⇒ They are formed by the order of State or Central Government.

⇒ It is meant for protection of only fauna.

⇒ Boundary is not well demarcated.

⇒ Ex. Chilika-Nalaban Sanctuary.
