.Northern Plains is located between the Himalayas and the Deccan Plateau. It is most fertile region of India. The soil is fertile here because the Himalayan Rivers flow through them through out the year. Weather here is either too hot or too cold.
Coastal Plains of India are located along the Indian Peninsula, stretching from Gulf of Kuch in Gujarat in the West to all the way up to the Bay of Bengal in the East. The Eastern Coastal Plains lie between the Deccan Plateau and the Indian Ocean and the Western Coastal Plain lie between the Deccan Plateau and The Arabian Sea. Weather here is moderate and humid.
