@Points of differences between nuclear fusion and fission are following :
Nuclear fusion:-
=============
(1) Two or More lighter nuclie fuse
(2) It takes place at ordinary temperature.
(3) This reaction cannot be controlled.
(4) Energy released per unit mass is very high.
(5) It is used to produce hydrogen bomb.
(6) Fuel to be used is quite cheap and available in plenty.
Nuclear fission:-
=============
(1) A heavy nucleus breaks up into t together to form a heavy nucleus. nuclei of nearly equal masses.
(2) It takes place at a very high temp- erature 10'K
(3) This reaction can be controlled.
(4) Energy released per unit mass is very low.
(5) Itis used to produce electricity and atom
(6) Fuel to be used is very costly and low bomb (nuclear bomb) available in limited quantity high. available in plenty.

In Nuclear fission, Spitting of a heavy unstable nucleus into 2 lighter nucleii takes place .
While in Nuclear fusion, Two light nucleii combine with each other to form huge amount of energy.
Hope this helps
