Answer:

Open Unemployment:

  • Refers to the situation in which an individual has no job and is unable to earn his/her livelihood.
  • This type of unemployment is clearly visible.
  • Generally found in urban areas among educated members of the society.
  • The person is not earning anything.
  • This will affect the production of goods and services in an economy.
  • Example: A young man, graduated and searching for job.

Disguised Unemployment:

  • Here, people work at a place where there are no more people required.
  • This type of unemployment is hidden.
  • Exists generally in the agricultural sector and mostly among the rural people.
  • The person may or may not earn money.
  • This won't affect the production because here already more than require people work.
  • Example: There is need of 4 labourers in a work but six are working. Then the two of them are in disguised unemployment.
