Open unemployment:- When a person is able to work but he/she didn't get any work then this condition is known as open employment.

Ex:- An adult person is not able to find a job.

Disguised unemployment:- When a person is apparently doing a work but he/she is working less than their potential then this condition is known as disguised unemployment.

Ex:- In a field which requires work of 5 people 8 people are working, then the three extra persons are considered as disguised unemployed. If we remove them the production will not be affected.

Hope it helps.

Explanation:

Distinguish between open unemployment and disguised unemployment:

Open Unemployment:

1. When a country’s labour force does not get opportunities for adequate employment, this situation is called open unemployment.

2. This type of unemployment is generally found in the industrial sector of our country. This is also found among the landless agricultural labourers in rural areas.

Disguised unemployment:

1. This is a kind of unemployment in which there are people who are visibly employed but actually they don’t have full-time employment. In such a situation more people are engaged in a work than required.

2. This type of unemployment is generally found in an unorganized sector where either work is not constantly available or too many people are employed for the same work that does not require so many hands.
