1. Organised sector: the sector which covers those enterprises or places of work where the terms of employment are regular and therefore people have assured jobs. basically they are registered by the government and have to follow its rule and regulations which are given in various laws such as the  factories act, minimum wages act etc .it is organised because it has some formal processes and procedures.

2. Unorganised sector is characterised by small and scattered units which are largely outside the control of the government there are rules and regulations but these are not followed , jobs here are low paid and often not  regular.

3. the workers in the unorganised sector can be protected only by the help of government as written above laws such as minimum wages is helpful in these cases.

Answer:

How can the workers in the unorganised sector be protected.

Explain.

Ans. In an organised sector workers are exploited by the employers

by paying low wages. No safety is provided at workplace nor the

health insurance benefits given to them. These workers can be

protected by following ways:-

1. Farmers need to be supported through adequate facility for

timely delivery of seeds, agricultural inputs, storage and

marketing outlet.

2. The interest of casual workers in urban areas must be protected

by law.

3. Minimum wages act should be enforced strictly.

4. By providing jobs security, paid leave, provident fund and

gratuity etc

5. By providing the medical facilities.
