ADITTION REACTION. - A chemical reaction in which two substances combine and form a third substance.
OR
the reaction in which unsaturated hydrocarbon on hydrogenation gets converted into saturated hydrocarbon.
eg - Ethene + H2 gives Ethane in presence of catalyst like Ni .
APPLICATION - vegetable oil on hydrogenation into vanspati ghee .
