Bainite: A fine non-lamellar structure, commonly consists of cementite and dislocation-rich ferrite.
Pearlite: During slow cooling of austenite due to sufficient time formation of ferrite and cementite takes place. Since ferrite and cementite are formed simultaneously, they are intimately mixed. The mixture is in lamellar form, i.e., it is composed of alternate layers of ferrite and cementite. This microstructure is calld pearlite.
