Distinguish between point to point and broadcast communication modes

Broadcast links is in contrast acommunication channel that is shared by all the machines in the network. Thedifference between point-to-point and broadcast, is that in broadcastnetworks, the packets(/the message) is sent by any machine and received by all the other machines.

In this mode communication occurs over a link between a single transmitter and receiver

example :-telephony

2) Broadcast mode:-

In this mode a large number of receiver's are linked to a single transmitter

example : radio& television
