Although these two terms are almost similar but they have significant difference also.

Population growth is the continuous statistics about the decrease or increase of the population.

On the other hand,

Population change is the change in the number of population in a gap of a particularly prescribed time period and it is not calculated in a continuous basis like the population growth.
