PRODUCES ARE NOT DEPENDENT ON OTHERS FOR FOOD ...

THEY UTILISE raw substances and form complex energy giving compounds ....

They are also called autotrophs .....

these form basic or primary level in ecological pyramid ....

egz ANGIOSPERMS ,PTERIDOPHYTA ,GYMNOSPERMS ,ALGAE ,BRYOPHYTA .....

CONSUMES ARE DEPENDENT ON OTHERS FOR FOOD ...

THEY can't have machinery to form food ...

they are also called heterotrophs ....

THESE OCCUPY levels other than primary in ecological pyramid ...

egz FUNGI ,HUMAN, APES, BIRDS ,PROTOZOA ......

producers :

producers are self nourishing components of the ecosystem.Hence they are called autotrophs.

decomposers:

decomposer are some organisms that are incapable of preparing it's own food.

They like on dead and decaying plants & animals.Hence they are called saprotrophs
