Rabi crops are grown in winter season that is from October to march and require moderately less water to grow. Kharif crops are grown in rainy season that is from June to September which require more water to grow. Zaid crops need less water to grow and are only grown in the months of summer season.

eg Bajra , rice
Rabi crops are sown at the ending of monsoon season and beggining of the winter season between September and October. eg wheat, gram
