Saturated solutions are those solutions in which no more solute can be dissolved in it and addition of more solute will ultimately have no effect. eg. A soda is a saturated solution of carbon dioxide in water.
An unsaturated solution is one in which the solute concentration is lower than its equilibrium stability. eg. dilute concentration of salt water, sugar syrup, mild coffee.
