Explanation:

The key difference between fruit and seed is that fruit is the developed ovary of angiosperms after fertilization while seed is a fertilized ovule of plants. After the fertilization, the ovule becomes the seed, and the ovary becomes the fruit.

1. Seed is the fertilized ovule of angiosperms & gymnosperms.

After fertilization ovule becomes the seed.

The outer layer is the testa.

Without  the fruit the seed can grow into a new plant.

Both angiosperms & gymnosperms produce seeds.

2. Fruit is the ripened ovary of angiosperms.

After fertilization ovary becomes the fruit.

The outer layer is the exocarp.

Without  the fruit the fruit can not grow into a new plant.

Angiosperms produces fruits only.
