Answer:

Self-pollination occurs when the pollen from the anther is deposited on the stigma of the same flower, or another flower on the same plant. Cross-pollination is the transfer of pollen from the anther of one flower to the stigma of another flower on a different individual of the same species.

Explanation:

Self pollination-(1)Transfer pollen grains from the anther to the stigma of the same flower.

(2)This process can take place in the same flower or the different flower of the same plant.

(3)It occurs in the flowers which are genetically identical.

(4)Few species that exhibit self pollination-Paphiopedilum parishii,Arabidopsis thaliana.

Cross pollination-(1)Transfer pollen grains from the anther to the stigma of the different flower.

(2)This process can take place between two flowers present on different flowers.

(3)It occurs between flowers which are genetically different.

(4)Few species that exhibit cross pollination-apples,daffodils,pumpkins and grasses.
