Subsistence Farming simply implies producing enough food and fibre for the needs of the farmer and his family.At one time not so long ago this was also quite common especially in the tropics people worked for relatively few hours each week produced only what they required collected fuel from the surrounding areas and played little part in the cash economy

Shifting Cultivation a form of agriculture used especially in tropical . Africa in which an area of ground is cleared or vegetation and cultivated for a few years and then abandoned for a new area until it's fertility .Has been naturally restored
