when you stand in the middle of a field in morning ,you will find your shadow is in a slanting way because of the slanting rays of the sun in early morning...whereas in the afternoon you will find your shadow very small and is slight infront of your toes , this is because of the straight and vertical rays of the sun and again you will find the slanting long shadow of yours' in the evening...
This mainly happens because of rotation of Earth around the Sun...
