Speed is defined as the ratio of distance by total tiime taken. Velocity is the ratio of displacement by total time taken. Velocity can also be decribed as a speed with a particular direction.

Hope it helped you and dont forget to follow me. Have a nice day!!.

\textbf{SPEED}

→ It is the rate of change of distance of a position with respect to time.

* Speed = Distance / Time

→ It is a scaler quantity (which contains magnitude only not direction).

→ It is always positive or zero.

→ It is greater or equal to velocity.
________________________________

\textbf{VELOCITY}

→ It is the rate of change of displacement with respect to time.

* Velocity = Displacement / Time

→ It is a vector quantity. (which contains both magnitude and direction)

→ It is positive, negative or zero.

→ It is smaller than speed.
