Spontaneous emission: electron absorbs incoming photon, goes to the higher energy state and falls back to the lower energy state by releasing a photon in random direction and phase.
Stimulated emission: The excited electron in higher energy state interact with the incoming electron, falls back to lower energy state by releasing photon of same direction and phase of incident photon.
