Distinguish between Spring tide and Neap tide:
- A tide in which the differences is "high and low tide" is greatest. Springtide will occur twice on each lunar month of all year.
- It happens when the moon is new or full of the sun, moon and earth are aligned. This is the state the gravitational pull on Earth’s water is strengthened.
- A tide in which the difference is high and low tide is least.
- Neap tide will occur twice every month. This means the sun and the moon are right angle to the earth.
- In this case, the total gravitational pull earth’s water is weakened or decreased because it has come from a different direction.
