Subsistence farming is mainly practised to meet the needs of the farmers family.in this type of farming the farmer I uses primitive methods to produce a variety of crops. He does not look into the suitability of soil for the cultivation of crops. The labour is provided by the members of the farmers family. All types of manures and a little chemical ferry losers are used.. The production is generally low.. Therefore the farmers are poor and standard of living is low
