surface water is found on surface of earth due to melting of glacier and underground water is found under the earth .

SURFACE WATER
1. surface water is the water which could be seen on the surface of the earth
2. it is impure as compared to the groundwater
3. it is in the form of water bodies such as lakes, oceans, ponds etc.
GROUND WATER
1. groundwater is the water which is inside the ground and cannot be seen
2. it is pure as compared to the surface water
3. it is in the form of tube Wells, wells etc.
