A drainage pattern in which the main streams and their tributaries display many right-angle bends and exhibit sections of approx. the same length; it is indicative of streams following prominent fault or joint systems that break the rocks into rectangular blocks. Differential weathering on faults or joint system in bedrock localizes the stream flow producing a more ordered Rectangular pattern.

Answer:

But in RECTANGULAR DRAINAGE, tributaries flows through the fault i.e between hard rocks in right angle joins the main river by forming rectangular blocks. Trellis drainage patterns look similar to their namesake, the common garden trellis. Trellis drainage develops in folded topography.
