Distinguish between: Tetrahedral void and octahedral void?

◆ Tetrahedral void -

• Tetrahedral void is surrounded by four spheres in a lattice.
• Number of tetrahedral voids are twice the no of particles in crystal structure.

● Octahedral void -

• Octahedral void is surrounded by eight spheres in a lattice.
• Number of tetrahedral voids are same as no of particles in crystal structure.
