CONVERGENT BOUNDRIES

  • two plates coming towards each other form convergent boundries
  • they cause folding and building of mountains
  • they may collide and crumble or may slide under each other.
  • convergence of plates may lead to earthquake

DIVERGING BOUNDRIES

  • two plates move away from each other and form diverging boundries
  • they cause faulting
  • they do not collide and crumble or slide under each other
  • divergence of plates lead to volcanic activities.

Answer:

in converging plate boundaries two plates moves towards each other. on the other hand diverging plates moves away from each other

(2) converging plates boundaries are called destructive plate and diverging plate boundaries are called constructive plate

(3) converging plate boundaries collide each other while diverging plate do not collide with each other

(4) converging plate boundaries resultant in the occurrence of earthquake , explosive type of volcanic eruption etc. on the other hand diverging tectonic plates result in the creation of new oceanic crusts and the creation of transform faults etc.
