Democratic elections dwell in competition. opposing parties use freedom of speech to voice their problems of the government  openly to bring replacement policies to the vote. so more or less the peoples power put you in position.

also democratic elections are periodic,inclusive, and definitive.

non democratic elections- in some countries the have democracy is a face to show some legitimacy of the election but its all a farce. but mots of these elections are rigged or contain some sort of black mail or nay other dark secret to get that person in power.
