Explanation:

Conventional and non-conventional sources of energy

Conventional energy are those sources of energy which are not found in abundance in the environment. Examples fossil fuel, cow dung cake etc. These energy play a huge part in global warming. They are used in commercial as well as industrial purpose.

Non-conventional energy are those sources of energy which are found in abundance in the environment. Such as wind, tides, biological wastes etc. They are eco friendly and does not cause pollution. They are used mostly for domestic purpose.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Biogas and natural gas

Biogas refers to the mixture of gases which is arrived in the absence of oxygen after breaking down of organic matter. It is found in limited quantity and is derived from farm wastes, human and animal wastes.

Natural Gas  refers to a mixture of gases rich in hydrocarbons. Gases like methane, carbon dioxide ,nitrogen are naturally available in atmosphere. These gases are found in abundance and are used as source of power.  It is raw material for petrochemical industries.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Ferrous and non-ferrous minerals-

Ferrous metals are metals which is mainly composed of iron and possess magnetic properties . These metals have little resistance to corrosion. For example; Vehicle Scrap metal at demolition site and scrap of vehicle

Non-Ferrous Metals  are metals which do not possess Iron,  non magnetic and more resistant to corrosion.  For examples ; Alloy, Aluminium & Aluminium Alloys , Brass, Lead, Copper

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Metallic and non-metallic minerals

Metallic Minerals are those minerals which have metals in their raw form, whereas Non-metallic minerals are devoid of minerals.

Metallic minerals are found in Igneous and metamorphic rocks whereas Non metallic is found in Sedimentary rocks.

Metallic minerals if melted can give a new product but a Non metallic can not.

Metallic minerals  are good conductors of heat and electricity but a Non metallic is a good insulators of heat and electricity.

Metallic minerals have shine but Non metallic does not.

Mettalic mineral example Diamond, Dolomite, Gypsum etc. Non metallic example Copper, Bauxite etc

Hope this helps.

Answer:

(i) Conventional and non-conventional sources of energy

(a) Conventional source can be used for a larger period of time while non-conventional is started in recent times.

(b) Conventional energy is exhaustible where non-conventional are not.

(c) Conventional energy pollute environment and non-conventional do not pollute the environment.

(ii) Biogas and natural gas

(a) Biogas is created through organic wastes and natural gas are produced naturally under the earth.

(b) Biogas is non exhaustable source whereas natural gas is exhaustable

(iii) Ferrous and non-ferrous minerals

(a) Ferrous minerals have raw iron content and non-ferrous has no iron in it.

(b) Ferrous minerals are manganese; iron-ore etc and non-ferrous are lead, copper, gold etc

(iv) Metallic and non-metallic minerals

(a) Metallic minerals has rare metals and non-metallic has no metals

(b) Metallic minerals are good conductors of electricity or heat whereas non-metallic is not a good conductor
