There is a vast difference between Mahmud Ghazni and Muhammad Ghori because Mahmud Ghazni had no interest in creating an Empire in India but he invaded India between 1000 to 1027CE targeting the rich towns. Whereas Mohammad Ghori wanted to build a large empire in North India and thus, he was involved in conflicts with the then ruler of Delhi and Ajmer, Prithviraj Chauhan Prithviraj lll.
