Distinguish between the reproductive and therapeutic cloning
Answers
Cloning is a scientific term that has been around for several years. It began when a sheep was cloned. This meant that an identical replica of the first sheep was produced by using the cells from the first sheep. The cloned sheep was known as Dolly. However, there are now two different types of cloning. They are called reproductive and therapeutic cloning. Today, many people associate cloning with cells because of stem cell research.
Reproductive cloning refers to the first example with the animal. It is animal cloning. Therapeutic cloning does not involve animals but adults. It involves their cells and DNA and is used to produce stem cells in order to be used when someone needs their cells to start growing again after getting burned for example.
