The middle Himalayas forms the toughest mountain framework and it is also known as Himanchal. It is famous for its hill stations such as Manali, Shimla, Nainital, Musoorie etc. Some of the famous ranges are Dhula Dhar range, Pir Panjal range etc.

Outer Himalayas

It is the youngest and lowest range of Himalayas and it is also known as Shivalik.  Some important hills of this range are Miri, Dalfa, Dhang range etc.
