distinguish between the zn/cuso4 Redox reaction taking place in a beaker and that in a Cell.​

when zn reacts with cuso4 it displaces cu from its solution and forms znso4... therefore it is a displacement reaction as zn is stronger than cu. It turns its colour from blue to colourless .

When a strip of zinc metal is placed into a blue solution of copper(II) sulfate ( Figure below ), a reaction immediately begins as the zinc strip begins to darken. If left in the solution for a longer period of time, the zinc will gradually decay due to oxidation to zinc ions.
