Explanation:

The main difference between a nuclear power plant and thermal power plant is that Nuclear power plant heat developed is used to make steam but in thermal power plant heat is used to convert into electricity.

Difference is that:-

The thermal power is produced by burning coal, petroleum or natural gas in thermal generator. But Hydro-electricity or hydel power is derived from the force of running water by means of dynamo driven by hydro-turbine. Thermal power is non renewable but hydel power is renewable.
